FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MelaninCon Announces Broccoli City as Community Partner for Champagne Reign

WASHINGTON, DC — MelaninCon is proud to announce Broccoli City as an official community partner for Champagne Reign, a live pitch competition and champagne mixer celebrating Black entrepreneurship, taking place June 28, 2026 at Realm Rooftop Bar and Lounge, located at 899 O Street NW in Washington, DC.

Founded in 2008 by Brandon McEachern and Marcus Allen, Broccoli City began as a lifestyle brand centered on community impact, environmental awareness, and Black culture. In 2013, Brandon and Marcus expanded the vision by co-founding Broccoli City Festival alongside Darryl Perkins and Jermon Williams, creating a platform that blends music, entertainment, and social impact. What started as a community driven movement has grown into one of the country's most influential festival experiences, mobilizing over 20 million young people through events and online platforms.

Champagne Reign is a MelaninCon activation bringing together 150 to 200 Black entrepreneurs, creatives, and community leaders for an evening that includes a live pitch competition with $2,250 in prizes, a 45-minute panel discussion, and a champagne mixer. The event operates under the tagline "We built the table. Now we toast at it." Tickets are available now at https://posh.vip/e/champagne-reign.

"Broccoli City has spent over a decade proving that community and culture are not separate from opportunity," said Donovan Woodberry, Founder of MelaninCon. "Having them in the room as a partner for Champagne Reign says something about what this event is and who it is for."

Applications for the Champagne Reign pitch competition are open through May 25, 2026. General attendance information is available at the link in @officialmelanincon bio.
